Trip to Dothan

We traveled to Dothan on Memorial Day and had a great week with friends and family. I got to spend lots of time with my best friend, Jessica. John David and I both enjoy being with Josh and Jess so much! And my kids have been asking to go back to Anna Lee's house for a snow cone! :)
 We had not been to Dothan since Labor Day weekend last year and we were all very excited! Our little family definitely had a lot of firsts during that week.
The trip was John Martin's first road trip! He did great. He didn't sleep as much as I thought he would have but most of the time he was content. He did great sleeping in a new place and even handled sleeping at both Nana and Paw Paw's house and Sonny and Gigi's. We also took the kids fishing and to the beach. John Martin slept during both, but nonetheless it was his first time going to both the beach and the farm! Here he is sleeping at the farm!

 Jeremiah went on 2 fishing trips. The first was with Sonny and Gigi and our whole family to the farm. And the second was with my dad to a river in Florida.

                                                   

Jeremiah also got to experience one of Dothan's finest :) forms of entertainment! John David and Gigi took him to Adventure Land. He loved it. In fact, he asked to go back every day we were there! He rode on the go karts, the bumper boats, played putt putt golf and played arcade games!

And don't worry, Evie was well taken care of! Her special day was spent with her Nana. My mom took Evie to Pinky's to get her nails painted for the first time! They also went to lunch and to Surprises Inside where Evie loaded up on Hello Kitty items complete with a Hello Kitty purse! Oh and I can't forget that they also went shopping at Old Navy for summer pajama's and flip flops!

 We also loaded up the family, along with Sonny and Gigi, and headed to Panama City for the day. The weather was perfect. There was a great breeze and we had a pier to shade John Martin from the sun!

We had such a great time! And we got to eat at all of our favorite places! And the day before we left to come back home, John David and I traveled to Birmingham to see Preston graduate from dental school. A big thanks to my parents for keeping the kids so we could go!
We are so incredibly proud of Preston and all that he has accomplished! We love him so much and can't wait to see what God does through Him as he pursues his dental career. There is no doubt that he will be a great dentist! Congrats Dr. Adams!

An Attempt to Recap the Last 3 months!

Here we go! Marathon blogging!
First up... On March 12th, John David matched in an ortho trauma fellowship! This man is AMAZING! I have seen him accomplish a lot since 2000 and matching in a fellowship is just one of the many times that I have been so unbelievably proud of him.

Second... On April 6th, Evie Beth turned 3. We had her birthday party at Monkey Joe's and we appreciate all of our friends and family that came to celebrate! She had a great time and loved being in the spot light!

Third... John David and I celebrated our 8th anniversary! And I did blog about that special day! You can see here!

Fourth... Jeremiah turned 5 on May 19th. That cute little guy wanted a bowling party! And what fun he had! We were so thankful that so many of his friends could celebrate with him and that both sets of grandparents came too! 

And last but not least... John Martin turned 3 months, then 4, then 5 and now 6 months old today! Wow. I can't believe that! I feel like a terrible mother. But believe me, I have lots of pictures of him on my phone, they just don't ever make it to the blog!
