As some of you may have already heard or figured out by previous comments on the blog, we have a scheduled an induction date for Jeremiah. Just so you know, you cannot pick just any old date for induction. There is a lot more that goes into it than you would think. First, your Doc has to be delivering that day. That may not be an issue for some because they wouldn't care if Joe Smoe delivered their baby, but for Danielle and I, we really like Dr. Plessala and would really prefer for him to deliver. Second, you have to fight everyone else out for the dates. Apparently, all the patients of Dr. Plessala's partners choose an induction date the minute they find out they are expecting because so many of the dates we wanted were already taken. So word to the wise, when you find out you are expecting, go ahead and select an induction date. Most likely you will not make it till then, but at least you will have your first choice for the date.
Anyway, the date is set for Monday, May 19th. It's a little nerve racking knowing that it's LESS THAN A WEEK away!!!!
Things to Pray for:
1. That we would trust that the Lord is in complete control and that He has ordained the birthday of Jeremiah before the foundations of the world. We would prefer to deliver prior to our induction date, but we ultimately want to trust the Lord.
2. That the Lord would prepare our hearts and minds to be the most godly parents we can be to Jeremiah
3. That the Lord would put a hedge of protection around Danielle and Jeremiah during these last few days and during birth.
4. That Danielle's time would be multiplied these next few days. There is a lot of stuff to get done prior to his arrival.
5. That my OB/GYN attendings and residents would be gracious and allow me time off for the birth and a few days after. Pray that the Lord would work on Dr. Owens heart because she is the main decision maker.
Thank you all so much for your Love and thoughtfulness during this pregnancy. May the Lord bless each and everyone of you with more grace to see how satisfying our Savior is.
