Jeremiah's Baptism

It has taken me a long time to decide whether or not we should baptize our children. Oddly enough, I was convinced to baptize Jeremiah after listening to a sermon by John Piper arguing against infant baptism. It would take me pages to unpack the doctrine behind baptizing infants, but I will say that I am so happy we did. It was a beautiful picture of what we pray for Jeremiah each and every day- that God would one day draw Jeremiah to Himself. It also reminds Danielle and I what a responsibility we have been given by the Lord. The truth that Jeremiah has been given to us by the Lord, and that we are called to be good stewards of what God has given us, certainly scares me a little. Therefore, each morning, prior to when I pray for Jeremiah's salvation, I pray for both of our hearts as parents, that we will live each day to show more of Christ to him.

May the Lord bring to reality what was displayed in Jeremiah's baptism today.

We were all so very blessed at Jeremiah's Baptism. It was such a beautiful sacrament. You are blessed parents and he is a blessed baby. The whole weekend was so wonderful, and the pictures are just great. He is such a beautiful and delightful baby--we love you all. Mom (gigi)

Aww...how precious and what a tremendous blessing to witness. I wish we could have been there. On another note...D...you look different. I just saw you last week but something about you looks different (besides the darker eyeshadow). Beautiful but different...maybe you have a preggers glow?! JK! Love you all!
