We are home from Africa and it is such a good feeling. We definitely had a trying time getting here. I will try to make this short. The Nairobi to London flight went great. The Lord granted us bulkhead seating and allowed Jeremiah to sleep well. The London to Dallas flight started off great, but ended a little shaky. Because of bad weather in Dallas, we couldn't land and what was supposed to be a 10 hour flight ended up being a 14 hour flight. Needless to say, we missed our flight to Mobile, but caught a flight to Gulfport, MS and got home around midnight. The Lord answered so many prayers and I want to share them with those of you who were praying for us so you can see how our prayers were answered.
1. Bulkhead seating on both flights. And not only bulkhead but also an extra seat on the London to Dallas flight.
2. Jeremiah did great. He ate well, slept well, and smiled and waved at everyone. The exceptional way that Jeremiah acted can only be explained by the grace of God. People would tell me how shocked they were that he was such a good baby.
3. Arriving safely at home.
4. Jeremiah has started on his schedule today and is doing great so far.
Thank you for all of your prayers while we were gone.
Packing has already began. John David's parents came on Saturday and began packing stuff for us (Thank you guys so much!) and we are hoping to resume in a day or two. We don't really have a set plan as of how things are going to look yet, but we will be going to Greenville next week to find a house.
We will have family in town this weekend for JD's graduation. It is amazing to think that the 4 years of medical school is already over and we are moving on to the next phase of our lives. Please pray that we would be able to find a home in Greenville and get adjusted before residency starts (June 22).
Oh and I hope to put up all the pictures from the trip that we haven't gotten to post yet.
