4 doctors in 3 days!

This has been a very crazy week for the Adams family!

Monday was Evie's one year well-visit. I have already blogged about that here!

Tuesday was Jeremiah's 2nd trip to the dentist. Blogged here!

So what is the reason for the other 2 visits to the Dr.? Well, here goes. Monday afternoon Evie started running a low fever-99 to 100 degrees. I thought it was because of her vaccinations on Monday. Well, Tuesday afternoon she woke up with a 102.1 fever. So I am a little concerned. She also sounded very hoarse, had a cough and had some nasty discharge that was coming from her nose and eyes! I call the Dr. and he thinks it is probably viral-and it is an upper respiratory infection. But if she wasn't better I could call Wednesday morning and have her seen! So Wednesday morning comes and she wakes up with another high fever. I call and we take her in! I will spare you the details of the screaming, tantrums (by Jeremiah) and the awful visit that we had. It resulted in this: Evie had a white blood cell count that was double what it should be and a possible abscess in her mouth! So they immediately send me over to the ENT. In the meantime, I drop Jeremiah off at a friend's house (THANK YOU to Shane for watching Jeremiah. Not to mention she has a 2 year old and a 7 month old!)

So here we go to the ENT. He checks her out and she doesn't have an abscess-PRAISE THE LORD! She does have a double ear infection, a throat infection and tonsillitis! The ENT doc said it was probably caused by either strep or staph infection. So we are on antibiotic for all of the above!

Gigi drove in last night to help me out with the kids. Evie has been so sick that she hardly eats and she wants to be held all the time! So Gigi is entertaining Jeremiah. Today she took him to the movies to see "Hop!"

The Adams household will bounce back in a few days! No pun intended for the Easter bunny!

Capital S.A.D. For that sweet baby girl (and mommy)! Sounds like she's been through the ringer :(. How awesome is it that you had some help come up, though. As the owner of 2 small ones, I know how much help that is. I hope she feels 100% very soon...especially before the hippity hoppity comes, if you know what I mean. Wish I lived closer. I would totally take J off your hands for a few days. He and Foxie could live it up big time!!
