First, my 30th birthday. Yes it was a month ago, I know. He went out of his way to throw me a surprise birthday party. He did all the planning, inviting, lying (ha ha), and cooking to make sure it was a great party. He covered all of his bases and pulled off a great surprise.
As for another gift, he got me this great canvas...
Then if that wasn't enough, shortly after my birthday he told me he wanted to take me to Charleston for our anniversary and Mother's Day!
We spent a great weekend away where not only was the trip enough of a gift, but he took me to great restaurants and bought me some jewelry at one of the local markets in Charleston.
He has been working so hard lately and enduring some pretty tough cases, yet when he gets home he is wanting to spend time with me and the kids. He has been in the yard playing baseball and golf with Jeremiah. And if he happens to be home in the afternoon, he has been entertaining Jeremiah for me to rest.
John David, thank you for your hard work at the hospital and at home! The kids absolutely love you and love spending time with you. You are an amazing husband and father!
