I was wrong, he was right...

deep.breath.
Years ago, when John David and I would discuss having children, he was convinced that we would one day own a van. He grew up with his mom having Honda Odysseys and he has always loved them. In fact, he has always been amazed by them. The features, the sliding doors, the space. You get the idea.
When the discussion of the van would arise, my comment would be, "I WILL NEVER DRIVE A VAN!" So, that is why I have titled this post, "I was wrong, he was right!" I have learned that I should never say never when it comes to having/raising children.
So, why am I saying this? Because yesterday we said goodbye to this...

and said Hello to this...

That is right! A Honda Odyssey. Brand spankin' new, straight from the factory with 3 miles on it!

I (or really John David) could write an entire post on all the upgrades this thing has that make it A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It truly is awesome with all of its technical capabilities. And John David can tell you all about it. He could have told you all about it before we even owned one. So, he isn't ashamed at all to drive or own this minivan. He is in love with this thing and has told everyone!
So, we are enjoying our new van and after driving it for 1 day, I am already benefiting from the convenience of the sliding doors and the space!

I really am very happy for you. I know you were SO excited to get it, however, I have to ask you one question....are the "mom jeans" next? I'm just sayin'. You're officially one step closer. Love you!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention how BAD A those wheels are...the rims (as we DHS grads like to call them) are totally awesome...seriously...its a good looking van.

I almost wet my pants when I read Jessica's comment about the mom jeans! Hilarious. Yay for your new van! I love Hondas and think they are super reliable. It looks great. So glad you got the van of your dreams!

I may have a post just like this one day. I have refused to get a van but Brandon is convinced in a few years I'll want one.

Honda's are wonderful, and honestly, sliding doors are amazing. I mean, you don't realize how awesome they really are until you need them because someone decides to park so close to you on both sides that you can't get your door open to put your child and her seat back in the vehicle. I hope you enjoy every minute of it!
