Much needed trip!

This past weekend, John David and I got away for a couple of nights and went to Hilton Head, SC. It was a long over-due trip. The last time we went away together was when I was pregnant with Evie! Note to self: Never let that much time pass before we go away again!

A BIG THANK YOU to Gigi and Sonny for keeping the kiddos while we went! We really appreciate you making the trip up to keep them.

So, we drove to Hilton Head on Saturday and drove straight to the golf course. John David played 18 holes and I was there to keep him company. The course was beautiful and the weather was perfect: 85 with a breeze!

After golf we headed to a small, not kid-friendly restaurant that was great for a date! We ate at Sunset Grille. Check out our view...

Sunday, we slept late, ate breakfast and headed to the beach. The Atlantic Coast is a lot different from the Gulf Coast but it was still beautiful. And again, great weather: In the 80's with a great ocean breeze! After the beach we did a little shopping and got ready for dinner. We met one of John David's attendings and his wife for dinner at Red Fish. Again, great food and the company was excellent!

Monday, we headed back home to see those little faces that we love so much and picked up our van!!!!

We had such a fun weekend with one another and enjoyed every moment together!
