Easter weekend, Sonny and Gigi came to town, but they were not empty handed! They brought not just 1 but 3 gifts for the kids. Specifically for Jeremiah's birthday. John David was on call so Sonny was left to construct these gifts alone (for the most part).
Gift 1: A train table custom built by Sonny. You may remember that we bought Jeremiah a train set for Christmas, but it was one that you could put together and take apart very easily. So, now that Jeremiah has a huge room we decided to ask Sonny to build him a train table for his train set!
**Let me brag on my father-in-law and say that he is quite the builder! That is just one of his MANY talents! He has built several pieces of furniture in our home that I hope we have forever!
So here is Jeremiah seeing his train table on Saturday morning!

The train table would have been more than enough, but the gifts get bigger!Gift #2: A clubhouse. "Clubhouse" was the name that Jeremiah finally decided to call it. This little cedar house (from Sam's) is precious. It is complete with a doorbell, clock, phone, sink, and cooktop. It also has cute flower boxes under the windows and a bench to sit on!
This clubhouse was no small task! This thing came with what seemed like 759 bolts, screws, wood screws, and so much more! Sonny stayed up late Friday night and spent most of Saturday morning putting it together!
Let me add that this was Gigi's idea to purchase! And I am so glad that they did. We went to Sam's to look at it, but the box didn't do it justice. Mrs. Gayla had seen one put together at the Dothan Sam's so she saw how precious it was!

Gift #3: Last, but not least... the swing set! Holy Cow! I loved opening up the boxes for this and seeing a 56 page manual and the words that read, "Assemble time is 8-10 hours with 2 people!" Seriously, it was nuts. Again, John David was post-call Saturday so you can imagine how he felt. Sonny started on it alone and after a few hours got help from John David. Gigi also started a system where she would work a step ahead of them and have the wood and screws/bolts/nails ready for them! Pretty smart!!!
So after 9 hours, it was complete. And Jeremiah couldn't have been any happier! He has played on this swing set every day since then. And an amazing story: Before his very own swing set, the boy HATED to swing. He never liked his infant swing, he didn't like his Little Tikes swing or any swing at the park. But now he loves it. He wants to swing everyday!
The swing set is his birthday present from his daddy and I, Sonny and Gigi, and Paw Paw and Nana!

Thank you to Sonny and Gigi for working the entire weekend so that our children could have these amazing presents! We are so thankful!
So as you can see, some worked hard and others (Jeremiah and Evie) played hard!

Holy Cow!!! Thats incredible. Man, do I wish that we lived closer so that we could play with all your new toys :). I bet J is beside himself. What awesome in laws you have to give all of that to you guys AND spend so much time putting it all together. That's love right there. OK, and I think E looks so much like you in these pictures. Do you feel like she is starting to look like you more and more? I do. She definitely has your gorgeous smile :).
